Danny’s Dumpster - Danny’s Dumpert is a renewable waste removal company. They offer composting and recycling services for both residential and commercial spaces. They also sell compost for your garden beds.
Blue Ridge Biofuels - Blue Ridge Biofuels offers an alternative clean-burning renewable energy to petroleum diesel fuel that can be used for oil furnaces.
GreenBuilt Alliance Directory of Renewable Energy - For a one-stop-shop on using renewable energy to save on heating and cooling costs and to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, check out the GreenBuilt Alliance. Each business featured on the website must meet minimum criteria to be included.
Dominion Energy - Dominion services residential, commercial, and industrial customers in North Central, Piedmont, and Western parts of North Carolina.
Duke Energy Progress - Duke Energy provides electric power to six states for both residential and commercial businesses.
Internet, Cable, and Telephone:
Spectrum - Provides internet, television, and phone set-up and services
AT&T - Provides internet, television, and phone set-up and services
DIRECTV - Provides satellite television, internet, and phone bundles
DISH Network - Provides satellite television
Water, Sewer, Sanitation:
You will need to set up an account with the city of Asheville that will supply you with water, sewer, and sanitation services. Once you open up an account, the city will supply you with a trash and recycling bin.
Asheville Water Resource Department - Maintains Asheville’s three water treatment plants, 30 pumping stations, and 27 reservoirs
Municipal Waste Services - The city of Asheville manages trash, recycling, and brush services. Garbage is picked up weekly and recycling is picked up bi-weekly.
Buncombe County Landfill - This facility is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. This facility also accepts recycling.
