"I excel at listening to my clients’ goals and working together to achieve them- emotional, financial, or both."

Having lived in both the Colorado and Utah Rocky Mountains, the Pacific Northwest, and near the Gulf Coast, I can confidently say that Asheville has a magical quality that few places can beat.

That bit of magic (and a reassessment of values during the pandemic) led my family to leave our home in Portland, Oregon, and purchase land in East Asheville to build a resource-efficient, forever home. Like many, we came for the gorgeous landscape, abundant outdoor adventures, the small-town feel (with big-city culture and restaurants), nearby rock climbing/bouldering, and of course, thunderstorms!

I got my start in real estate in Salt Lake City, Utah during the housing crisis of the late 2000s when almost every property I listed or sold was a short sale or foreclosure. Fast forward a decade, and the market has completely shifted in favor of sellers. Having weathered both extremes (in multiple states) has given me a strategic toolkit that I utilize to the benefit of my clients on either side of the equation.

I excel at listening to my clients’ goals and working together to achieve them- emotional, financial, or both. From listing/selling condos and single-family homes to assisting investors in purchasing apartment buildings (and now building my own home), I have found solutions to just about every situation that can arise in a residential or smaller-scale investment transaction.

In addition to my experience in real estate, I have a B.A. in advertising from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and an M.S. in advertising management from the University of Denver. Prior to becoming a real estate broker, I was an account executive in an agency and later marketing director at a Colorado ski resort. This prior experience ensures that I am both a skilled negotiator and marketer. As an Alabama native, I bring a laid-back attitude and a bit of southern hospitality to the table, too.

In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains with my four children and husband. I am an avid sewist, quilter, and knitter and teach online sewing/pattern drafting classes and make many of my own clothes.

Whether you’re thinking about buying a home or land in Asheville or selling yours, I’d love to chat over a coffee or beverage of your choice! (Zoom works, too!). I can be reached at 828-279-4700 or by email at lauren@mymosaicrealty.com. I look forward to connecting with you!
