Anchored by the vibrant Haywood Road business corridor, Historic West Asheville has managed to retain its charm amid explosive growth: Formerly abandoned buildings have been transformed into flourishing restaurants, breweries, and vintage boutiques, but the streets still have a small hometown feel. It's an area where businesses are family-owned and neighborhoods are an easy walk away. It offers a range of architectural styles, from historic bungalows to new green-built homes.
