My name is James, but everyone calls me Buck. I hail from a part of Appalachia that sits north of the Mason-Dixon line, among the hills, mountains, streams and small farms of central Pennsylvania. While Western North Carolina looks very similar to where I grew up, there’s a lot that sets it apart. The rare combination of creative food, fun and arts, as well as the great outdoors and open-minded culture, are what drew me, along with my wife and twin boys, to move to Asheville in 2010.

Asheville has proven to be an amazing city in which to live and raise a family, and through my career, I’ve been dedicated to making this awesome place even better. I previously worked as a community mental health provider and became a real estate agent to better combine my interests with my aspirations. I approach every interaction with care and openness. I enjoy getting to know clients on a personal level, really listening to what their needs and desires are before we set out together on their real estate journey. I am fascinated by the challenge of perfectly matching buyers and sellers of both residential and commercial properties; to me, it’s a way to improve the Asheville community, whether by increasing home ownership or investing in affordable housing.
