I first came to Western North Carolina for college and never left. After nearly 30 years of living, working and raising my family here, Asheville, Swannanoa and the surrounding communities truly feel like home. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Western Carolina University and my master’s degree from N.C. State in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management, and those studies—and the career that followed—shaped how I look at land, homes and communities.

Much of my professional life was spent in local government as the Parks and Recreation Director for the Town of Black Mountain. In that role, I learned how to guide complex projects from start to finish, work within local codes and regulations, and navigate challenges like land use, floodways, steep slopes and environmental considerations. That experience now translates directly into real estate, helping my clients understand not just a house, but the land it sits on and the rules that shape what’s possible.

Along the way, I’ve also worked as a home remodeler and real estate investor, giving me a hands-on understanding of how homes are built, repaired and improved. I enjoy walking through a house and helping clients size up what needs work, what it might cost, and how to approach renovations realistically. Knowing the people, processes and regulations involved allows me to help clients see both potential and pitfalls clearly.

Outside of real estate, community has always been central to my life. I’ve raised three daughters here, stayed active in the Asheville yoga community, served on local boards, and co-opened Good Company Pizza with my younger brother. I’ve played sports most of my life—highlights include being part of a National Dodgeball Championship team in 2009—and I’m a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
