After HGTV purchased the house, local design firm W2 Architects got going on the design with instructions from HGTV to design something that honored the historic character but added a modern element. With the design in place, Asheville's premiere green builder, Jody Guokas of JAG and Associates Construction, worked quickly to demo and rebuild the house, turning it into a modern bungalow that features 2 bedroom, 2 bath and approximately 1,300 square feet. The property search, design and remodeling of this bungalow will be featured on the show's debut on Monday August 10th and 11pm EST on HGTV.
