Our experience working with Steph was outstanding. She is knowledgeable, personable, honest, thoughtful, and professional. Though we have spent considerable time in Asheville, we are not local to the area and didn’t know a lot about the market or even exactly what we were looking for. Steph spent time getting to know us, gave us advice and information about different parts of Asheville and various neighborhoods to help us find the right fit for us.

Amid the challenges that COVID-19 brought to the process, in a tight market that was moving really fast, and with us being out of town to boot, she helped us stay on top of potential properties. When we looked at those properties, she would tell us honestly if she had concerns or if she thought a place wasn’t right for us. As an example, we were about to make an offer on a house and it occurred to her that planned road construction might affect the neighborhood; looking into it further, we determined that indeed the construction project was going to bring the by-pass uncomfortably close.

When we were ready to make an offer on a property, Steph advised us on what would be appropriate based on her knowledge and experience of the market, at the same time helping to ensure we were not overpaying. When we just missed being the accepted offer on a place we really liked, she suggested making a backup offer. We did, thinking “Whatever” and continuing to look. We were stunned and thrilled when we got her call a couple of weeks later that we were under contract on the house we loved in a West Asheville neighborhood that’s perfect for us.

Steph was awesome through the contract and due diligence phase of the process, helping us line up the needed inspections and going over all the reports with us in detail. She was also a skilled negotiator through this phase and stayed in touch with the seller's agent, lender, and title company to make sure everything was in place for closing.

We would also note that Steph maintains good relationships with other realtors and works well with them, a crucial skill in our opinion. Likewise, the Mosaic team was a benefit to us in that she was able to call on her colleagues to assist if she was not able to be on hand herself. In short, we loved working with Steph and would recommend her without hesitation.
