Artisan Cheese in Asheville: From Field and Farm to Plate

WNC Cheese Trail

WNC Cheese TrailAsheville, NC is one of the most food-forward cities a traveler could find.  If a food item or beverage can be cultivated locally and brought to the table, there are passionate Ashevillians doing it.  The city is already known nationally for its craft beer production, and now it is gaining momentum as a center for artisan cheese.

Details about the WNC Cheese Trail

Be a part of this grassroots movement and celebration of southern cheese by joining in the WNC Cheese Trail on Sunday, April 24th, 2016 from 12pm-4pm.  The event will be held at one of Asheville’s pioneering breweries, Highlands Brewing Company, located at 12 Old Charlotte Highway.  It will be a great opportunity to check out their continuously updated tasting room and production facility as well.  Not to mention, cheese and beer pair so wonderfully.WNC Cheese Trail event

The WNC Cheese Trail is as much about education about the process of bringing cheese from the field and farm to the dinner plate as it is about enjoying the fruits of the labor.  Demonstrations will include the history of the ancient craft as well as the future of the cheese industry.  Of course, there will be ample opportunity to sample and buy a wide variety of local cheese.

Children are welcome to participate in the family-centered activities, and vendors from across the country will be set up.

Mosaic Realty Sponsors the WNC Cheese Trail

Mosaic Realty is a proud sponsor of this event.  One of the reasons that we love Asheville is the drive and entrepreneurial spirit of the community that calls this town home.  Come join us at the WNC Cheese Trail in celebration of local, artisan cheese!
