Ready for a fun evening of art and mingling in downtown Asheville in support of area nonprofits? Then join Mosaic Realty for its second annual Mosaic Art Walk & Benefit on May 2. This free community fundraiser, open to the public, will take place at 14 downtown Asheville galleries to benefit 15 area nonprofits. Here’s everything you need to know.
What time does the Mosaic Art Walk & Benefit start?
The event will be held on Thursday, May 2, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with participating galleries open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the Asheville Art Museum open until 9 p.m., where the car raffle winner will be announced.
Where should I park?
There are several parking garages near the participating galleries. Here is a link to find availability in city-owned garages. Street parking is also available throughout downtown and is free after 6pm.
What if I want to bike to the event?
Asheville on Bikes makes it easy to bike to the Art Walk by providing a free Bike Valet at Pritchard Park in downtown Asheville (intersection of Patton Avenue and Haywood Street) from the hours of 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

What’s the best way to plan my gallery route for the evening?
Peruse the map of participating galleries ahead of time at https://mymosaicrealty.com/our-company-and-services/galleries-and-nonprofits/ (where you can download a pdf of the map). With all the participating galleries within a few blocks of the Asheville Art Museum – one to the north, one to the west, and the rest to the south – it will be easy to visit many during the course of the evening. Unsure of where to start? We recommend beginning with a visit to the gallery where your Mosaic broker is stationed, then check out galleries where the art and featured nonprofits pique your interest.
Will there be food and beverages at the event?
There will be lite fare from local eatery 67 Biltmore at each participating gallery. In addition, complimentary wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverages will be available.
How can I participate in the benefit part of the Mosaic Art Walk & Benefit?
There are several ways you can help to support your favorite Asheville-area nonprofit during the Art Walk:
· Purchase one (or multiple!) car raffle tickets. Proceeds are split evenly between the 15 nonprofit partners. You can take care of this part ahead of time and purchase a ticket here.
· Enter to win exciting raffle basket prizes at each gallery. Choose the nonprofit or nonprofits you would like to directly support and enter to win at the corresponding galleries.
· Purchase art the night of the event. Talk to the gallery representatives about the discount. Most galleries are offering a portion of the sales to be given back to the featured nonprofit.
· Make direct donations to the nonprofits. There will be representatives from each of the nonprofits at their partner galleries.
