Food Connection’s Chefs in Action (Aug. 7) – This gourmet nonprofit fundraiser, to be held at the Venue in downtown Asheville, is co-sponsored by Mosaic Community Lifestyle Realty and broker Nancy Horowitz. Sourwood Festival (Aug. 9-10) – Since 1977, this local-food and environmental celebration has drawn visitors to Black Mountain to enjoy sourwood honey tastings, crafts, children’s activities, live music and farm-fresh fare.
Shindig on the Green (August 9, 16, 23) -- Mosaic is a long-time supporter of this special community gathering. Bring your instruments, families, friends, lawn chairs and blankets to this stage show and informal jam sessions at Pack Square Park.
Speaking of Gardening Symposium (Aug. 15-16) – Hosted at Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park, this environmental wellness conference brings expert gardening talks, hands-on workshops, and advice on sustainable outdoor practices.
Come to Leicester Studio Tour (Aug. 16-17) – Explore local artists’ studios in Leicester featuring glass, ceramics, paint, metalwork and handcrafted treasures. This free, self-guided tour of 23 studios and shops connects artists and visitors, and includes food and beverage sponsors for a full day of fun.

Asheville on Bikes – The Summer Cycle (Aug. 23) – Sponsored by Mosaic and JAG Construction, this free, accessible bike ride includes cruiser loops and advanced routes exploring the River Arts District, downtown Asheville, and the city’s greenways. E‑bikes are welcome at the event, which aims to embrace and expand Asheville’s cycling community.
