SOCON Basketball Championship (March 5-9) – The Southern Conference Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships return to Harrah’s Cherokee Center in downtown Asheville for four days of high-energy collegiate competition. Art Affair 2026 (March 7) – OpenDoors Asheville presents Art Affair 2026: Rooted in Community at The Crest Center & Pavilion. Enjoy an elegant evening celebrating art and community, with hors d’oeuvres, specialty drinks, live entertainment and both live and silent auctions to raise funds for local arts education.
Swan Lake: International Ballet Stars (March 13) – Experience the magic of Swan Lake at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in downtown Asheville. Set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score and featuring world-renowned dancers from around the globe, this production showcases exquisite choreography, stunning costumes and all-new, hand-painted sets with more than 200 custom-designed scenery elements.

Shamrock Run (March 14) – Lace up for this festive St. Patrick’s-themed 5K in north Asheville, benefiting Asheville Catholic School. Co-sponsored by Mosaic, Eric Albee and Caley Bowman, the Shamrock Run welcomes runners and walkers of all ages, with post-race festivities rounding out the fun-filled day.
Asheville Fringe Arts Festival (March 15-22) – The Asheville Fringe Arts Festival returns for its 2026 season with innovative performances spanning theater, dance, comedy and experimental art in venues throughout downtown Asheville and the River Arts District. Co-sponsored by Mosaic Realty and Craig Severance, the multi-day festival offers audiences an immersive, up-close creative experience.
Asheville Art Museum – Third Thursday (March 19) – The Asheville Art Museum comes alive every Third Thursday with special evening programming including live music, interactive art making, guided tours and unique cocktails in the rooftop café. It’s a fun way to enjoy art after hours and engage with both the museum’s collection and community. Free for Museum Members or included with general admission.
Asheville Symphony Masterworks 5: Nightingale (March 21) – Internationally renowned vocalist Isabel Leonard leads this flagship event with her versatile artistry. Enjoy a curated selection from her signature roles, including Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 and highlights from West Side Story.

Taste of Asheville (March 26) – Indulge in Asheville’s celebrated culinary scene at Taste of Asheville, a benefit for the Asheville Independent Restaurant Association. Co-sponsored by Alyssa Augustine and Mosaic, the event brings together a curated lineup of local chefs, breweries and beverage makers for tastings that highlight the innovation and flavor of Asheville’s restaurant community.
Biltmore Luminere (Opening March 26) – This immersive outdoor evening event at the historic Biltmore Estate transforms the grounds and gardens into a breathtaking light, sound and storytelling experience. Held on select evenings, Luminere invites guests to stroll pathways to take in the experience while enjoying artisan picnics, craft beverages and curated menus from estate restaurants.
Spring Out with Asheville on Bikes (March 28) – Celebrate the arrival of spring at Asheville on Bikes’ annual Spring Out ride. Mosaic is a proud sponsor of this community cycling event, which begins and ends at Wedge Brewing at Foundation in the River Arts District. A social, all-levels ride, Spring Out encourages safe cycling, active transportation and neighborhood connection.
