Buying your first home is a scary thing. Buying a home when you're single is possibly even scarier. Thankfully, I had Dana by my side.

I met Dana serendipitously through a mutual acquaintance. After talking to a few other realtors, I decided to work with Dana because he's a rare person who can switch from easy-going mode to fighter mode when necessary. Dana's easy-going nature helped quell my fears, patiently answered my questions, and helped me look at places with a critical eye. However, that easy-going nature was able to flip when it was time for him to fight when my offer was in.

Because of my line of work, I have a high bullsh!t meter. And I'll be honest, I had doubts when first starting out because I've just been conditioned to have a mistrust in any type of salesperson. However, the more I worked with Dana the more I felt like he had my best interest at heart. He was always super transparent on potential pitfalls for me and managed expectations on his role in the buying process.

I was really impressed with Dana's knowledge of house construction and work. During my walk-throughs with him, he was smart about pricing out potential work and helpful in getting me the right contacts to get the work done.

Having Dana as our agent was incredible! Being first time home buyers we were next to clueless about the process and what we were really looking for in a home. Dana promptly recommended some local and reputable mortgage brokers and our dream team was born. His knowledge - he has a great knowledge of his market, and he puts the work in to research the various comps in the neighborhood. So when we put in offers on places, we knew exactly what these places were valued at. Dana would provide thorough reports to ensure that we went into each offer with the information we needed to make a viable offer.

His calming influence - the housing market is a frenzy! Everyone basically says that it is impossible to find a place and the stream of different things that you hear doesn't stop. Dana, on the other hand, was a calming influence throughout the whole process. He NEVER pushed us into anything. He was well aware of what we wanted, and he never made us feel like it was out of reach. In fact, he did the opposite for us -- he kept us calm in this whole process so we could make informed and smart decisions.

His availability - countless times, he would meet us when it was convenient for us and quite possibly inconvenient for him. He works all the time. I can't tell you how many times we called him to a place and would scope it out for an hour -- he never once complained that we were wasting his time.

Likeability - Dana is overall a great guy, which makes him a pleasure to work with. However, beyond this -- in this market you need to have a realtor that other realtors like to work with, and everyone we've ever met says wonderful stuff about Dana. It makes a big difference!

His drive to please his clients -- Dana went to bat for us when we put in an offer. He isn't afraid to have difficult conversations with other realtors/lenders to ensure that his clients get what they want.

That was long. So in summation -- we are in our dream house, and that is because we worked with Dana. I would recommend him to anyone, any time!
